Schubert NOW! – this new release on BMC from harpist Anastasia Razvalyaeva, singer Veronika Harcsa and composer Bálint Bolcsó translates Schubert’s music into a new musical language. After the album Debussy NOW! (2020), which attracted international attention and was nominated for a Classical:NEXT Innovation Award, Harcsa and her trio inhabit the infinitely sensual and eerily beautiful universe of Schubert’s songs. They expand and enhance it with the expressive tools of voice and harp, plus live electronic effects. Through improvisations, new timbres, and vocal techniques between classical and jazz, Schubert’s perennial songs are transformed into a truly contemporary spatial experience.
